Compare poker rooms by actual cost structure, not headline rake.
A room advertising “5% rake” tells you little without the cap, player-count rules, stakes, jackpot drops and no-flop-no-drop policy.
Methodology principle
Baccaret will record the operator’s published fee schedule, the date checked, game/stake context and material exceptions before calculating comparative examples.
Cash-game fields

Tournament fields
Record the buy-in as prize-pool contribution plus operator fee wherever disclosed—for example $100 + $10 rather than presenting $110 as though all of it enters the prize pool. Re-entry fees, add-ons and withheld deductions should be recorded separately.
What we will not do
We will not convert an affiliate commission into a higher editorial score. If commercial relationships are introduced later, they will be disclosed and kept separate from the fee methodology.
