Pot odds calculator
Enter the pot before the opponent’s bet and the amount you must call. The tool returns the final pot if you call and the break-even equity threshold.
The formula
Required equity = call ÷ (pot before bet + opponent bet + your call)
If the pot is $100 and an opponent bets $50, you call $50 to contest a final $200 pot. Your break-even equity is 50 ÷ 200 = 25%, before rake or future-street effects.
Why 25% does not automatically mean “call”
Your actual equity depends on the opponent’s range, and realizing that equity can depend on position and future action. In cash games, rake can also move a marginal call from slightly profitable to slightly unprofitable. In tournaments, chip value can be nonlinear near payout thresholds.
