Range combination explorer
A range is not just a list of hand names. Each hand class carries a number of card combinations, and visible blockers remove some of them.
The combination logic
With no blockers, a specific pocket pair has 6 combinations. A two-rank holding such as AK has 16 total combinations before suit restrictions: 4 aces × 4 kings. Of those unblocked preflop combinations, 4 are suited and 12 are offsuit.
Once visible cards are included, exact suited/offsuit splits can depend on the suits of the blockers, so this tool reports the exact all-suits combination count.
Why blockers matter
If you hold an ace, an opponent cannot have all six combinations of AA. If an ace is also on the board, even fewer remain. Blockers therefore change the weight of plausible value ranges before you even estimate action frequencies.
