True odds do not remove the line-bet edge—they dilute it across more money.
The Pass Line portion retains its expected cost. The odds portion is fair, so increasing odds lowers the weighted edge on the combined amount wagered.
Example
$10 Pass + $50 odds leaves the same expected loss on the $10 contract wager, but spreads that expected cost across $60 of combined action. This does not make the original Pass Line bet fair.
